I feel I have to emphasize something. There is a truly great teen drama on TV. NOT GOSSIP GIRL. The same show that’s been awesome for like 20 years, DEGRASSI, has returned to form like nobody’s business this season. Consider:

1) New Freshman class member #1 - Clare, Darcy’s little sister, who, like, in Ben Linus style came out of nowhere and now absolutely dominates the show in charisma. (Incidentally Darcy was up there with Charlotte as TV character I watched and was just like “DIE already”).
2) New Freshman class member #2 - Alli Bhandari, the new, Muslim Stephanie K.
3) Like, everybody: Jane’s great, crazy new Principle’s great, Holly J’s great. Manny as always. Jay: top notch bad boy forever. Eat a dick, Chuck Bass.

But most important is that, as always, Degrassi’s characters are actually young - not in just the sense that the actors are young, but because they learn things! All the time. Like they actually make mistakes and learns lessons and fuck up. And if you’ve ignored this whole post… and I don’t blame you …
