Lev here.
I know Whitney and I present a fairly unified corporate identity on this site. But we don’t really agree on everything. Take music — she doesn’t invite me along to see bands I wouldn’t be psyched for, and there are MP3s I’d probably email to J or J or A before her.
There is one kind of music tho that I really feel has belonged to us as long as we’ve been friends. It involves heavy distortion, high pitched noises, mumbled off-rhythm vocals (usually mixed way too high to way too low), and often a drum-machine.
Example bands are The Country Teasers, early Devo, the Coachwhips, the Fall and the Butthole Surfers. These are people I only imagine wearing very dark cheaters all the time. If Whitney and I had a band our one song would be her playing a highly amped and distorted kazoo while I screamed “NOW! NOW! NOW!” until I passed out.
So when I heard Cheveu for the first time I emailed the MP3 to Whitney with lots of exclamation points in the subject. I mean, on top of making our kind of music, they’re French: the effing people of sunglasses!
The point is they’re playing in Brooklyn tomorrow night on their first American tour. So we’ll be there and here’s an MPfree…

During the daylight, men in hard hats eat fried food here. Totally patio, but totally inside! Easy to get to but so far out nobody cares! Noise & djs till the wee hours! $2 beer!
Can I get an Upgrade?
Yes yes.
From now on, www.levandwhitney.org takes you to www.balldeep.tv, the new official site of Ball Deep International / Lev and Whitney.
Please change yr links, bookmarks, etc…
NOTE: Did ya ever see that terrific “Can I get an upgrade?” Tampax commercial? We found the myspace profile of the hunky guy at the end of it…
Dear Summer,
You’re the best season. Thanx for sticking around as long as you have.
Here - we youtubed this for you…
But sometimes the bear eats you!

Man … who’d think that after months of semi-regular playing, Whitney and I would play our most embarrisingly awful tennis game today? I mean, worse than when I had that waterslide-related tailbone injury, and worse than when she had pulled a hammy at Yoga and could hardly move.
Guess that’s sports for ya.
RADdendum: Just got a v complementary email from one of our fave-bands. So whatever, Tennis.
What to do for pleasure
So the new extendo trailer is out and Yeah — we’re still siked for October 20th. Plus we heard somebody overheard Lindsay Lohan at Happy Endings saying Gang of Four is her favorite band.
Or maybe it was one of the Bush daughters. The point is: convergence.
