New video! Big Deal!

When our buddy Thurston told us Aa (big A little A) makes “the kindsa sounds that young people should be making,” we knew they’d be big-time heatmakers in THE NEW YORK ART SCENE…

So WE GIVE YOU:
Aa’s Fingers to Fist — First, funabled for Youtube:

But for serious, we shot this on film. Do us a favor and watch the vid as a lovely H264 compressed Quicktime. Isn’t that prettier? (right-click to download.)

Fs to F is the first video of two we’re making for Aa’s upcoming album cum DVD. We’re in very good company on this and rumor is there’ll be a vid for every song. There’s just that much hot to go around.

Enjoy!

Doing Nothing is better

Me (L) & W are very excited to see The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Yes because of Bow Wow and Tokyo Drifter. But mostly because of drifting — the racing move where you let the car skid out of control in order to make a more precise turn.

To demonstrate how awesome drifting is, I’ve youtubed this analogy from Kiss Me Kate (1953):The first two dancers perform in the standard musical style of the early 1950s — non-stop high-energy movement. But the third couple is a young Bob Fosse and Carol Haney. He choreographed their dance, and it’s the first of his style to be in a movie. The drifts — the pauses, the inaction are what makes the dancing so intense.

The song’s called appropriately called “From This Moment On” because you can literally see shit flip forever.

Anywayz, I drifted once in a BMW (as a passenger) and it was definitely the high-point of that summer.
