Big Screen Big Deal!

THIS SUNDAY at 7:45 (and encoring Tuesday at 8:00), our non-fiction piece J.M.E. IN MYSPACE: TROPICAL FEELINGS will screen at the closing night of the FINAL New York Underground Film Festival! It’s part of (and presumably the namesake of?) the program TROPICAL GRIME.

J.M.E. IN MYSPACE, about grime music and the creative energies hidden within MySpace, is the first episode of PERIPHERAL VISIONS, an audio-visual essay series (”audio-visual” because we plan to explore techniques outside of video. “Essay” is a Mexican word meaning “friend”) we’re developing for internet TV. It is among our best work to date and WILL NOT be viewable online for some time!

J.M.E. IN MYSPACE features the voice talent of Trevor Hoff and a Tropical Megamix by DJ Dwayne!!

So please join me (lev. whit’s across the country) at these screenings. We’ll après-festival nearby.

Best,
L
