Just got back from Moscow where I was shocked to see NO JEWS. Seriously none. Kinda weird from growing up here in East Coast USA where you meet someone who says they’re Russian and its almost implied they’re Jewish too.
That’s of course the explanation - as soon as they could they all left for here or Israel or wherever. Still though none was a surprise. It’s like that Ray Bradbury story where all the black people leave America for outer space. All the Jews just got into their spaceships and took off (no portman).
